Saving recipes

How do I save a recipe from Instagram or TikTok?

In Instagram or TikTok, tap Share, then choose ReciNook from the share sheet. You can also copy the link and tap Paste a link on the Home screen. You'll review the recipe before it's saved.

The ingredients didn't come through. What now?

Some posts keep the recipe only in the video, or are private. Paste the caption or type the recipe on the review screen. The link and the creator's credit stay attached.

Why don't I see a photo?

Not every post or page provides a cover image. Tap the photo area on the review screen to choose one from your Photos, or keep ReciNook's colored cover.

Meal plans and groceries

Why are some grocery items marked "Check amounts"?

ReciNook only adds amounts together when it can do so accurately, such as cups with tablespoons. When the same ingredient appears in units that can't be combined, like garlic cloves and a tablespoon of minced garlic, it lists both so you can decide.

Will rebuilding my list remove things I added?

No. Items you type in yourself, or edit, are always kept.

Subscription

How do I cancel Premium?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose ReciNook. Cancelling stops renewal at the end of the current period, and your recipes stay in your free account.

How do I restore a purchase?

In ReciNook, go to Profile and tap Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple ID.

Your account

How do I delete my account?

In ReciNook, go to Profile → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and everything in it: recipes, collections, meal plans, grocery lists and photos. If you can't open the app, email us from the address on your account and we'll do it for you.
